BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION
Program Objectives
The objective of this course is to expose the student to the most relevant aspects of business management and administration, while providing the student with the tools required for a career in business.

Because the business world is very dynamic, students are taught to keep up to date with the latest developments and business trends by reading newspapers, books, and magazines. Case studies are used to train students to think analytically and to apply their knowledge by solving problems and making decisions.

Career Opportunities
The business world is a constantly changing environment with opportunities for those individuals with the skills necessary to adapt to those changes.

Careers in finance, banking, marketing, personnel, accounting and general management are available to those successful graduates who have the right combination of proper academic skills, personal drive, and dedication. In addition, graduates of this diploma program will have interdisciplinary skills allowing them to be valuable members of the business community.

Certifications
Successful graduates of this program will meet the program requirements to receive the Certificate in Supervisory Management (CSM), issued by the Canadian Institute of Management (CIM). The certification is nationally recognized as the standard of excellence for supervisory training.

This program also includes the potential for Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) certification at the Core level in PowerPoint.

Prerequisites
Grade 12 or equivalent OR mature student status (19 years of age)
Passing score on the entrance examination
