COMPUTER SERVICE TECHNICIAN
Program Objectives
The Computer Service Technician program is designed for students wishing to embark on a career in the Information Technology industry. The objective is to obtain the knowledge and skills necessary to service computer systems in a standalone or networked environment and to support users on these systems.
Students will study the theory of computer systems and operating systems and then develop practical skills through hands-on application software to develop a level of expertise with the most commonly used office programs.
Career Opportunities
The Computer Service Technician program prepares students for entry into the IT marketplace. Graduates may successfully compete for positions as first-level computer technicians, technical support specialists, and help-desk troubleshooters.
Certifications

Prerequisites
Grade 12 or equivalent OR mature student status (19 years of age)
Passing score on the entrance examination
