PERSONAL CARE ATTENDANT
Program Objectives
The Personal Care Attendant program prepares students to deliver appropriate short or long-term assistance and support services in either a long-term care facility or in home care.
The program will educate and train graduates with the necessary tools and skills to deliver appropriate, timely, and respectful client-focused care to the elderly, persons with disabilities or those recovering from illness or injuries and their families.
Career Opportunities
Career paths are wide and varied. Successful graduates can expect careers in long-term care facilities or private home care. It is important to note that employers will expect individuals to provide their own transportation to assigned work sites.

Prerequisites
Grade 12 or GED equivalent, however, an applicant may be considered who is at least 19 years of age and has been out of school for at least one year.
Passing score on the entrance examination.
Clear Conduct Certificate
Mentally and physically able to complete requirements for job
